Use it twice a week in the beginning and then switch to daily use once your skin gets used to it. Many women also use it for make-up prep. Applied in moderation to the skin it can absorb excess oil and keep make-up on longer.
Rash: Milk of Magnesia can be used as an effective antiseptic for many types of rashes (especially baby diaper rash). Gently apply the solution to the affected area with a cotton ball. The acid-dissolving properties of milk of magnesia help neutralize the acidity that causes the rash. Repeat this step until the rash disappears.
Sunburn: magnesium hydroxide lotion has a soothing effect on sunburn. Pour some milk of magnesia on a cotton ball and apply it gently to the sunburn. Allow it to dry and then go to bed. It helps the sunburn to cool down. Wash it off the next morning and the sunburn will not be as painful to touch.
